Our Story

Robbie and Chris Wynne are brothers who grew up on the same soccer team and served their carpentry apprenticeship side by side, building luxury homes across Camberwell, Toorak, South Yarra, Kew and Canterbury, where the detail and the finish weren’t negotiable. From there, Robbie stepped up to run sites as a foreman, leading complex, architect-designed builds.

In 2018 they started Build One with one rule: the people who quote your home are the people who build it. Their own carpenters, their own joinery workshop, and Robbie and Chris on every project from first meeting to handover.

Our Own Carpenters & Joiners

Build One’s carpenters are employed directly, not subcontracted, and every kitchen, wardrobe and vanity is made in-house by our sister company ARKO Joinery. One team, from frame to finish.

Build One’s craftsmanship and leadership have been recognised well beyond the site fence. Robbie and Chris were builders on The Block 2023 (Channel 9) for sisters Eliza & Liberty, winning three awards for quality and workmanship. They’ve also featured as builders on Dream Home (Channel 7) with both Build One and ARKO Joinery, showcasing their expertise on a national stage.
